Shawl I Class; May 14th, 28th, June 11th, 2019
A beginner-intermediate class that will walk you through the completion of a garter & lace patterned shawl. Join us for three 2-hour classes to learn the basics of lace knitting, shawl construction, pattern types, charts, and finishing. Participants will have the choice between two similar shawl patterns, one knit in fingering weight, the other in a heavier worsted weight.
When: Tuesdays, May 14th, 28th, June 11th, 2019, from 1pm-3pm. Please note these classes are non-consecutive. You will be given 'homework' during the week; please allow additional time at home to work on your projects.
Prerequisites: basic knitting skills (cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease)
Materials: 200g of either fingering weight yarn or worsted weight yarn; 4.0mm or 6.0mm 32" circular needle; darning needle; stitch markers; a copy of Waiting for Rain or After the Rain pattern, by Sylvia McFadden (available to purchase on Ravelry)
