Beginner Drop Spindle Spinning; May 26th, June 2nd, 2024

In this two part class we’ll learn all the basics of spinning and plying on a drop spindle.  Class one will go over spindle anatomy, fibre prep, drafting and spinning with lots of time for trouble shooting. Class two will review trouble shooting and then plying techniques and finishing your yarns so they’re ready for future projects.

When: Sunday, May 26th and June 2nd, 2024 from 8-10am
You will be given 'homework' during the week; please allow additional time at home to work on your project.

Materials: a drop spindle for you to keep will be provided in the first class and fibre for spinning can be purchased in store. 

Cost: $68

Cancellations and Refunds: If there is insufficient registration for the class (minimum 3 participants), you will be notified at least 2 days before the start of class and your full fee refunded. If you wish to withdraw from the class entirely, you must contact Galt House of Yarn at least 2 business days before the start of classes to obtain a refund. We regret that there are no refunds for class absences or make-up sessions.
