Welcome to the Galt House of Yarn! Our store policies are listed here for your reference. We reserve the right to update or modify these policies at any time and encourage you to review them from time to time. 

Sale Prices & Discounts

Sale prices are as marked and cannot be applied retroactively. Raincheques are at the discretion of the management. 

House Points rewards coupons can only be applied to regularly priced items. 



We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, and Paypal. Payments can be made through our website or by phone to 519-267-7337. 


Sales Tax

Sales taxes are based on the shipping address of your order within Canada.



Canada & US

All orders are shipped via Canada Post Expedited Parcel. Rates are calculated at checkout and are based on destination, weight and package size. We are pleased to offer free shipping for any order over $249.

If you live in or near Cambridge, there is a "Local Pickup" option available, where your order can be picked up in person in Galt, Cambridge. Galt House of Yarn will contact you after your order is place to make arrangements. 

Packages shipped within Canada are trackable and insured up to $100.


Unfortunately, we are not able to ship outside of Canada or the USA. Our apologies for the inconvenience. 


If an item is out of stock or if there is a question about your order, we will contact you via email and/or telephone. Please note that Galt House of Yarn is not responsible for packages that do not arrive.



To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Returns must be made within 6 months of the date of purchase. The product must still be carried by Galt House of Yarn in regular inventory. We cannot accept returns for Special Event sales, such as Trunk Shows. 

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Patterns or magazines cannot be returned. Custom sales, such as Yarn Bouquets, cannot be returned.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

To return your product, you should mail your product to: Galt House of Yarn, 175 Beverly Street, Unit 7, Cambridge ON, N1R 7Y9. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. 

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.


Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Only regular priced, regular inventory items may be refunded. Sale items and Special Event (i.e. Trunk Show) items cannot be refunded.


Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at



Galt House of Yarn does not share any information collected through our site. 


Colours & Product Information

We have made every effort to present yarn colours and product details as accurately as possible. Due to variations in dye lots, computer monitors, and occasionally human error, there may be some inconsistencies, omissions, or errors. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to change or update information at any time (including after you have submitted your order).
