Crochet III - Virus Shawl; February 2nd and 9th, 2026

The Virus Shawl by Julia Marquardt is a fun and engaging crocheted lace project that builds skills while creating a light, airy, wearable piece. This class will teach you how to follow a fully charted pattern while creating a top down, triangle shawl. You’ll also learn tips and tricks including how to keep the top edge of your shawl nice and straight.

All class attendees must be 16 years or older.

When: Monday, February 2nd and 9th, 2026, from 7-9pm

Prerequisites: completion of Crochet I, or comfort with basic crochet skills (ch, sc, dc).

Materials: 1 ball of the Creative Melange Aran Wonderball available here (or similar yarn) and a 5.5 mm crochet hook

All class materials can be purchased at Galt House of Yarn, though you may bring your own. This class occurs after hours and the cash register will be closed. Please purchase items in advance.

Cancellations and Refunds: 

If there is insufficient registration for the class (minimum 3 participants), you will be notified and your full class registration fee will be refunded.

If you no longer able to participate in your class, you must contact classes@galthouseofyarn.ca prior to the class confirmation email being sent. Once your class has been confirmed, we are no longer able to withdraw you from the class or issue a refund.

We regret that there are no refunds for class absences and no make-up sessions.
