Knitting II - Fair Isle; January 31st, 2026

A one-part workshop to introduce the basics of Fair Isle Knitting: a traditional method of creating coloured patterns by working two yarns simultaneously. The class will cover fair isle working methods, yarn dominance and finishing.

All class attendees must be 16 years or older.

When: Saturday, January 31st, 8-10am

Prerequisites: Basic knitting skills (knit, purl, increase, decrease)

Materials: 50g fingering weight yarn in each of three contrasting colours; 3.0mm & 3.5mm 16" circular, or long circular for magic loop. 

All class materials can be purchased at Galt House of Yarn, though you may bring your own. This is an after hours class.  Materials must be purchased in advance.

Cost: $29

Cancellations and Refunds: 

If there is insufficient registration for the class (minimum 3 participants), you will be notified and your full class registration fee will be refunded.

If you no longer able to participate in your class, you must contact classes@galthouseofyarn.ca prior to the class confirmation email being sent. Once your class has been confirmed, we are no longer able to withdraw you from the class or issue a refund.

We regret that there are no refunds for class absences and no make-up sessions.
