Learn to Knit Socks Class (Afternoon); June 14th, 21st, 28th, 2024

An intermediate class that will walk you through the completion of a top-down, heel-flap sock. Join us for three 2-hour classes to learn the basics of sock construction, how to turn a heel, how to graft stitches, and how to customize for size. 

All class attendees must be 16 years or older.

When: Fridays, June 14th, 21st, 28th, 2024, from 3-5pm. 
You will be given 'homework' during the week; please allow additional time at home to work on your projects. 

Prerequisites: basic knitting skills (cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease) and comfortable working in the round. 

Materials: 100g fingering weight / 150g worsted weight sock yarn; 2.75mm / 4.5mm needles (set of double pointed or 32" circular for magic loop). All class materials can be purchased at Galt House of Yarn, though you may bring your own. This class occurs after hours and the cash register will be closed. Please purchase items in advance. 

Cost: $68

Cancellations and Refunds: If there is insufficient registration for the class (minimum 3 participants), you will be notified at least 2 days before the start of class and your full fee refunded. If you wish to withdraw from the class entirely, you must contact Galt House of Yarn at least 2 business days before the start of classes to obtain a refund. We regret that there are no refunds for class absences or make-up sessions.
