Drop Spindle Spinning Class; October 4th and 18th, 2026

In this two part class we’ll learn all the basics of spinning and plying on a drop spindle. Class one will go over spindle anatomy, fibre prep, drafting and spinning with lots of time for practice and trouble shooting. Class two will begin with review and then plying techniques and finishing your yarns so they’re ready for future projects.

When: Sundays, October 4th and 18th, 2026 from 12:30-2:30pm
You will be given 'homework' between classes; please allow additional time at home to work on your project. 

Prerequisites: none

Materials: a drop spindle and fibre will be provided in the first class

Cost: $78

Cancellations and Refunds: 

If there is insufficient registration for the class (minimum 3 participants), you will be notified and your full class registration fee will be refunded.

If you no longer able to participate in your class, you must contact classes@galthouseofyarn.ca prior to the class confirmation email being sent. Once your class has been confirmed, we are no longer able to withdraw you from the class or issue a refund.

We regret that there are no refunds for class absences and no make-up sessions.
