Knitting III - Poncho; October 2nd, 23rd, November 13th and December 4th, 2026
The High Plains Poncho is a beautiful pattern for trying out lots of techniques. It’s a great introduction to chart reading, knitted texture, basic lace, adjusting for your own measurements and seaming techniques.
When: Fridays, October 2nd, 23rd, November 13th and December 4th, 2026 from 7–9pm
***please note that the dates are spaced out to give lots of time for homework between classes***
Prerequisites: Basic knitting skills (knit, purl, increases and decreases)
Materials: Please purchase the High Plains pattern for full details
- 700-1000 yards of Worsted weight yarn like Cascade 220
- 6.00mm and 6.5mm circular needles, 36” lenght (or size needed to obtain gauge)
- Waste Yarn or Go Cords to hold stitches
- Stitch Markers and Tapestry Needle

Cancellations and Refunds:
If there is insufficient registration for the class (minimum 3 participants), you will be notified and your full class registration fee will be refunded.
If you no longer able to participate in your class, you must contact classes@galthouseofyarn.ca prior to the class confirmation email being sent. Once your class has been confirmed, we are no longer able to withdraw you from the class or issue a refund.
We regret that there are no refunds for class absences and no make-up sessions.
