Knitting III - Vest - November 10th, 17th and December 1st, 2026
Take your knitting skills to another level with the versatile, and super cute, Novice Slipover by Petite Knit. This class will cover starting flat and joining for working in the round, picking up shoulder stitches and finishing edges with ribbing, armhole shaping and how to customize for your size.
All class attendees must be 16 years or older.
When: Tuesdays November 10th, 17th and December 1st from 7-9pm
You will be given 'homework' between classes, please note there is an extra week between the 2nd and 3rd classes for extra homework time!
Prerequisites: basic knitting skills (cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease)
Materials: Please see the Novice Slipover pattern on Ravelry for detailed supply information. You will need to purchase the pattern in advance.
- a Worsted Weight yarn or a DK and a Lace weight held together is recommended: Cascade 220, or Double Sunday and Tynn Silk Mohair are great options.
- (see pattern for needle details) 5 mm [US8] / 60, 80 or 100 cm [24, 32 or 40 inches], 4.5 mm [US7] / 40 and 80 cm [16 and 32 inches] and 4 mm US6 / 40 cm [16 inches]
- waste yarn or Go Cords
- Stitch markers and darning needle
All class materials can be purchased at Galt House of Yarn, though you may bring your own. This class occurs after hours and the cash register will be closed. Please purchase items in advance.

Cancellations and Refunds:
If there is insufficient registration for the class (minimum 3 participants), you will be notified and your full class registration fee will be refunded.
If you no longer able to participate in your class, you must contact classes@galthouseofyarn.ca prior to the class confirmation email being sent. Once your class has been confirmed, we are no longer able to withdraw you from the class or issue a refund.
We regret that there are no refunds for class absences and no make-up sessions.
